Position – Saw Assistant
Job Location – Withee, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – First Shift (5:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Thursday)
Starting Pay – $17.00 per hour

The Saw Assistant plays a critical support role in the production process by assisting the Saw Operator in cutting aluminum extrusions to customer specifications, ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety throughout the process. This position requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safety-first culture by following all local safety guidelines.
- Assist and back up the Saw Operator in cutting aluminum extrusions.
- Measure and cut materials to required lengths and stack them properly.
- Accurately record counts and measurements of materials on QC reports.
- Monitor machine fluid levels and report any abnormalities.
- Ensure part quality before passing them on to the next department.
- Keep work area clean and maintain general company housekeeping standards.
- Report unsafe conditions to management.
- Participate in all company safety programs and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience required in a manufacturing environment necessary or other job physical in nature.
- Must be able to handle measuring tools and products.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 75 pounds with team assist and 50 pounds without.
- Comfortable working in a hot, loud environment around machinery and airborne particles.
- Must be able to stand frequently and perform physical tasks including kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
- Must wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
