Press Assistant
We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Press Assistant to join our client's fast-paced printing and packaging facility. In this role, you will work closely alongside Lead Press Operators on high-speed offset and flexographic printing presses, producing custom paperboard packaging, folding cartons, and specialty paper products.
This is a key entry-to-mid-level role ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys hands-on mechanical work, and wants a clear pathway for advancement into a Press Operator career.
Responsibilities
-We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Press Assistant to join our client’s production team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the paper industry.

Job Location – Appleton, WI
Starting Date – ASAP
Employment Term – Temp to Hire
Employment Type – Full time
Work Hours (Shift) – 1st shift
Starting Pay – $19/hr

Required Experience – 1 year of prior manufacturing experience
Responsibilities
- Mechanical and electronic abilities to learn the functions of the press.
- Willingness and desire to learn the physical and chemical dynamics that comprise the printing process.
- Must be willing to take direction from the pressman in a team environment.
- Must have better than average color perception.
- Must have a good understanding of what is considered good quality in the graphics arts field.
- Read job ticket accurately and scan all components used into jobs and return to stock when finished.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Technical school training in Graphics Arts and/or experience as a feeder operator under an experienced pressman.
