Position – Mold Technician
Job Location – Amery, WI
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Direct Hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., 2-2-3 Schedule
Starting Pay – $25.00 per hour

Required Education – High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Experience – Plastic injection molding experience strongly preferred
As a Mold Technician, you will take ownership of machine setups, process adjustments, and equipment troubleshooting to ensure production runs smoothly and parts meet quality expectations. This role supports daily manufacturing goals while also contributing to long-term improvements in efficiency and performance. Individuals at varying experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Prepare and start injection molding machines for production runs
Adjust processing parameters to maintain consistent part quality
Diagnose and correct mechanical, tooling, or process-related issues
Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve defects or performance concerns
Inspect molds before and after runs to ensure proper condition and readiness
Complete production documentation and verify process settings throughout the shift
Support sampling for new or revised products
Monitor cycle times and production output to meet scheduling demands
Assist with secondary equipment including automation, stamping, printing, and related operations
Help identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve overall efficiency
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
Provide guidance to less experienced technicians when needed
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience setting up and troubleshooting plastic injection molding equipment preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Understanding of mold construction basics and process flow
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Experience in regulated or quality-driven environments is a plus
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
Ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team
Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended 12-hour shifts
Frequent interaction with production equipment and machinery
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed
Exposure to manufacturing noise and moving mechanical parts
Requires attention to safety and quality standards at all times
