Mechanical Assembly Technician
A growing Eau Claire manufacturer is seeking a mechanically inclined Assembly Technician to join their weekend shift team. This role focuses on building and preparing high-performance equipment in a clean, organized shop environment.
POSITION – Assembly Technician (Weekend Shift)
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Direct Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00am–5:00pm (Work 36 hours, paid for 40) – Training may occur on 1st shift initially
STARTING PAY – $22–$26 per hour, depending on experience
BENEFITS UPON HIRE – Paid holidays, paid time off, retirement plan with company match, life insurance, paid lunch break, opportunity for wage increase after 30 days
REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma or GED
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Minimum of 2 years of related mechanical or assembly experience preferred
Duties:
- Assemble mechanical components including engines, hydraulic systems, and related parts
- Route and connect hydraulic hoses and components according to specifications
- Operate hand and power tools to complete builds accurately
- Run and test equipment to ensure proper performance and quality standards
- Identify and address basic mechanical issues during assembly and testing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow work instructions and safety guidelines throughout the build process
Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, small engines, hydraulics, or related field preferred
- Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
- Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs. and performing physical tasks such as standing, bending, and kneeling
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and on a team
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
