Position Summary: The Seeds of Change Free Clinic provides free medical, vision, dental and auditory care for recovering women who are struggling with substance use disorders and their children. The clinic manager is responsible for overseeing the administrative, business and operational aspects of the clinic in support of the clinical team and patient care delivery. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, medical professionals and volunteers to ensure the effective and compassionate delivery of quality healthcare services.
Essential Functions
Clinic Administration
- Oversee daily operations: Oversee daily facility operations and maintain efficient patient flow to ensure a seamless experience for patients and staff.
- Maintain patient records: Ensure accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Manage inventory: Monitor and order supplies and equipment. Maintain appropriate stock levels and keep them in good working order.
- Budget oversight: Develop and manage the clinic’s budget. Handle billing oversight and control expenditures. Provide reports to directors as requested.
- Reporting: Organize records, monitor efficiency and generate reports on patient trends, clinic statistics as requested by the board of directors.
Volunteer and Staff Coordination
- Recruit and train: Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of volunteers and employees across the various clinics.
- Manage schedules: Ensure appropriate coverage across the clinics for clinical and non-clinical volunteers and employees.
- Act as a liaison: Connect with volunteers, employees, providers and patients and implement business strategies to meet goals. Serve as a resource for volunteers and employees addressing questions, concerns and feedback.
- Provide leadership: Offer on-site leadership and support for the clinic team, ensuring a productive and positive work environment.
Patient Care Coordination
- Manage patient flow: Implement strategies to optimize patient flow, minimize wait times, and improve overall efficiency.
- Answer inquiries: Respond to patient phone calls, greet visitors, and provide information about the clinic's services.
- Improve patient experience: Liaise with patients to ensure their needs are met and address any complaints or issues.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to all local, state and federal laws and regulations; clinical, and safety protocols, including those from OSHA and HIPAA.
- Quality improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance the quality of patient care and identify areas for process improvement.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Business, Health and Administration or related field.
- Three to five years experience in healthcare or clinical setting.
- Requesting two references.
