Seedlings Academy for Young Learners in Hershey, PA is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering the intellectual and emotional development of young children.
Job Summary
As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow. Your role will involve working closely with children, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure each child’s developmental needs are met in a positive setting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate various educational activities including art, music, and physical play.
Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive environment by creating a warm, welcoming, and safe classroom environment for children to learn and grow.
Provide basic care, including feeding, diapering, and bathroom assistance when needed.
Observe and document children’s progress and behavior and share feedback with parents regularly.
Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of exemplary work in an educational childcare setting is highly desirable. At least one year of continuous service in your current setting is highly desirable.
Certifications: First aid and CPR certification required prior to starting; CDA credential is a plus.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to foster a positive learning environment; ability to effectively manage a classroom; ability to work as a strong team player; highly motivated with a servant’s heart.
