What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at Seed School?
Seed School is a micro school seeking multiple part-time teachers for grades K-6. We are looking for educators who are innovative, passionate about teaching, and want to inspire a love of learning in their students.
Responsibilities:
- Teach core subjects including math, language arts, science, and history to a class of 10-12 students.
- Creatively integrate mindfulness, nature, and hands-on learning into each subject.
- Collaborate with parents and the education mentor to meet student education goals.
- Become familiar with the provided school curriculum.
- Prepare additional in-class curriculum, and supplemental material for students to complete on non-school days.
- Attendance at occasional meetings, conferences, and training outside school hours.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Excellent communications skills for collaboration with parents, teachers, and administration on educational strategies and student progress.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach a range of subjects to children, helping students grow and meet guidelines.
