What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research and Design Engineer position at SEECO - Southern Electrical Equipment Company?
About Southern Electrical Equipment Company (SEECO):
SEECO was founded in 1920 when several engineers left Duke Power to create a new “start-up” company, with the intent to design and manufacture better products for their industry. They succeeded. That same drive to deliver greater performance and reliability is what animates our engineers, staff, and management today. Our ongoing product development efforts have been a key growth factor for SEECO, producing innovative and commercially successful products, such as unitized transmission switches, line post sensors for transmission switching automation applications, single bottle and multi-bottle vacuum interrupters, and single and variable speed electro-mechanical motor operators.
About the job:
SEECO is seeking a highly motivated Research and Design Engineer with a strong mechanical engineering foundation and working knowledge of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure to power systems and a passion for developing innovative solutions in the field of high-voltage equipment for transmission/distribution applications. This role will play a key part in design, prototyping, and testing of new products and improvements to existing product lines.
