SEE Purpose Treatment Center Seeks to ease the suffering caused by a multitude of issues related to substance use and alcoholism. Recovery takes a village. That village includes the family/loved ones, the treatment culture and environment, the clinical team, and anyone that can provide collateral support for the needs of the person receiving treatment.
Summary of Position
**Shift openings:
1st Shift 7am-3pm (part time) Weekends Only
Second shift 3p-11p (full time) WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED
Third shift 11p-7am (full time) WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED
The Residential Technician maintains accurate and proper recording of all client records, communicates with clinical team in person as the need arises and through daily reports, and reports any pertinent information that arises during his/her shift. This position is in charge of the supervision and safety of the clients while attending to daily client needs. The residential technician observes and provides input and support for both clinicians and clients for the reinforcement of the client’s current therapeutic goals as determined by the clinical staff while ensuring the accurate and efficient implementation of the daily program schedule.
Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or GED is required, with some college coursework desired. At least 1 year experience in a residential substance use disorder treatment environment is desired.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be capable of registering as a recovery worker in the State of Indiana. CPR certification and a valid driver’s license with valid insurance coverage is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities of the Residential Technician include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the daily care and safety of clients and provide monitoring and assistance for each client throughout the daily schedule.
- Escort clients to and from program activities.
- Conduct urinalysis testing and breathalyzer testing of clients.
- Take clients’ vital signs and address minor first aid needs.
- Conduct searches of the facility and client belongings for contraband items.
- Assist with the intake process for new clients.
- Ensure the daily program schedule is maintained and clients are meeting their responsibilities per program schedule.
- Respond to daily client needs
- Respond to emergency situations as appropriate and per policy and procedure.
- Maintain all documentation as required.
- Observe self-administering of medications and document as required.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, conferences and trainings as required.
- May transport clients to off-site appointments, meetings, and sanctioned program activities.
- Assistance in the maintenance of the facility and property.
