Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas
- Handle waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently and responsibly
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety during cleaning procedures
- Conduct heavy lifting when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment safely and correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Follow established safety protocols for manual handling and chemical use to prevent accidents or injuries
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper as needed to ensure continuous availability
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures
- Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with safety regulations
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy objects when necessary
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization
- Strong physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) use to ensure safe working conditions
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues
