Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental health and social engagement
- Help with meal preparation and feeding to meet nutritional needs while respecting dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards
- Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Requirements
- Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, and memory care techniques
- Ability to assist with ADLs and use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely
- Valid certification in First Aid and CPR; additional certifications in medication administration or behavior management are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required for home visits or community outings
