Job Summary: As the Senior Living Concierge, you are the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and team members at the Community. Your role is essential in creating a warm, inviting, and professional atmosphere that reflects our commitment to exceptional service and resident satisfaction. You will manage all incoming communications, coordinate resident and guest needs, and serve as a central hub for information, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all.

Available Schedule: Weekends, Part-Time, hours to be discussed during interview.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Greet all visitors, residents, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor, making feel valued and respected, including vendors etc.
  • Offer refreshments to guests as they wait.
  • Always use the automatic door opener to open the front door, when physically able to.
  • Ensure the lobby and reception areas remain clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Use approved scripted telephone etiquette tools to answer calls professionally, ensuring each interaction is handled with warmth, efficiency, and clarity.
  • If directed, assist with giving tours to prospective residents and their families, showcasing the community’s vibrant environment and amenities.
  • Answer and direct all incoming calls in a polite and professional manner, ensuring inquiries are handled efficiently.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and messages, ensuring timely distribution.
  • Maintain daily communication logs for smooth shift transitions and effective teamwork.
  • Assist in scheduling resident transportation and appointments, coordinating with the van driver and healthcare providers as needed.
  • Take and relay messages accurately to residents, families, and staff members.
  • Monitor and maintain resident sign-in/sign-out sheets to track resident and visitor activity and safety.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for resident concerns, requests, and emergencies, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist with coordinating guest meal reservations and other special accommodations.
  • Maintain emergency response documentation, ensuring all relevant contacts and procedures are up to date.
  • Support the community’s administrative team with resident files, employee documentation, and ancillary charges.
  • Be familiar with the emergency call system in order to problem solve technical difficulties should they arise.
  • Be able to solve problems with phone, cable, and internet issues for residents before escalating to the technology provider.
  • Assist management with special projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing resident experience.
  • Maintain accurate and updated resident, family, and staff phone lists, assist with maintaining the 911 (emergency binders)
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately to Director.
  • Comply with Community standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations
  • Display a positive and professional image through actions and maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform or clothing and name tag when working. No facial piercings, and hair color must be natural color-no pink, green etc.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
  • 1 years of experience in a front desk, customer service, or receptionist role, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar service-oriented environment preferred.
  • Experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting is a plus.

Position Requirements:

  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Background and criminal record clearances as required by government regulations.
  • Fingerprint clearance card or able to obtain upon hire.
  • Must meet health requirements, including TB.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Able to be mobile and perform the physical requirements of the job to include: bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting/carrying, walking, grabbing and repetitive motions
  • Able to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time
  • Able to move intermittently throughout the work day
  • Able to communicate orally, read, comprehend, and write
  • Able to understand, remember, follow and give complex instructions and guidelines
  • Able to perform math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.) in support of budget and other financial responsibilities
  • Some travel may be required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
