Job Description
Recycling Processing Technician
Full-Time Position:
WEDNESAY - SUNDAY (firm)
8am-4pm
Responsibilities:
- Process recyclable materials
- Operate forklift
- Keep yard clean and functional during shifts
- Empty recycle bins using forklift
- Work on the material sorting line once per week
- Interface with public by assisting patrons dropping of their recyclables at our facility
Skills and experience:
- Forklift experience is not necessary
- Excellent oral communications skills
- Works well with a small team
- Self-starter. Doesn't wait to be told what to do, understands tasks of job and takes initiative
- Customer service experience will help with engaging with recycling patrons
Physical demands:
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Working on your feet for the majority of your shift
Pay
- Starting hourly wage is $20
- $1/hour raise after 90-day probation period
Hours
- 40 hours per week
Wednesday-Sunday 7am-3pm (Summer hours)
Wednesday-Sunday 8am-4pm (Winter hours)
Paid Time Off
- One week accrued in the first year (40 hours)
- Three days of Paid Sick Leave (24 hours)
- Your birthday is a paid day off
- Six Federal Holidays paid off (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day)
