Supports day-to-day operations of the Older Americans Act (OAA) Title III C1 (congregate) and C2 (home delivered) nutrition programs in Butler, Harvey and Sedgwick Counties to ensure eligible older adults are receiving meal service that meets the guidelines set by Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS). Supervise the agency’s congregate site managers and provide oversight of congregate site partners’ site operations. Assist the OAA Project Coordinator with monitoring nutrition program sub-recipients and contractors to ensure program compliance with the Older Americans Act nutrition program regulations.
PROGRAM MONITORING
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year experience in the field of aging or equivalent or one (1) year experience in food service or equivalent. One (1) year of supervisory experience. Food Handlers Training is a plus

- Oversee the day-to-day nutrition service operations ensuring that meals are provided on time, eligible participants are served, and daily meal service is provided timely by contractors and sub-recipients.
- Monitor contractor and sub-recipient use of the Nutrition Management Information System (MIS) and KAMIS.
- Assist with annual program review of congregate nutrition sites. Work with OAA Project Coordinator on nutrition service reports and performance improvement plan as needed.
- Referral follow-up as needed to provide information, resources and supports.
- Provide training and technical assistance to employees, congregate site hosts/site managers or nutrition contractors/sub-recipients as needed.
- Conduct assessments as assigned assisting congregate sites for service access by eligibility participants.
- Provide presentations to promote the congregate meals sites in Butler, Harvey and Sedgwick Counties.
- Coordinate reoccurring nutrition site managers meetings to promote collaboration and ensure good communication and quality services among congregate and home delivered meal locations.
- Stay up to date on new trends related to nutrition services to provide input and continual improvements to the nutrition service program.
- Provide oversite of nutrition locations’ daily program income collection, handling, and reporting. Assist with developing and distributing communication to participants regarding donation as needed.
- Supervise agency congregate meal site coordinators to include the following:
- One on one staff coaching regarding service provided, call performance, strengths, challenges, resources or problem resolution.
- Schedule staff, manage time off and maintain adequate coverage including providing back-up support for staff as needed
