Great Place to Work® Most Loved Workplace® Forbes Best-in-State Employer Corporate Communications Specialist JOB DESCRIPTION Corporate communications specialist PRIMARY PURPOSE: To create informative and compelling communications and creative campaign messaging for our colleagues and clients to drive adoption and engagement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for copywriting and/or editing internal and external communications. Writes creative campaign messaging for various channels including video, web, email and social media and works with creative director to ensure the message and design are aligned. Serves as the authority on grammar and punctuation, and maintains meticulous attention to consistency and accuracy. Writes and edits copy according to AP and company standards. Ensures content is consistent with the company's brand in terms of tone, manner and messaging. Develops talking points or scripts for corporate video communications as needed. Responsible for routing assigned communications with key stakeholders and leadership for review and approval. Leverages company tools and brand standards to build and distribute communication to the required audience. Strategizes with director of communications and brand experience or other relevant stakeholders to define communications plans and messaging outlines as needed. Participates and contributes to marketing and communication team brainstorms for new concepts and ideas. Takes writing projects from initial concept to completion, managing every step of the process along the way. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other duties as assigned. Supports the organization's quality program(s). Travels as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, business administration or related field preferred, or related experience required. Experience Six (6) years of marketing or corporate communications experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills & Knowledge Demonstrates exceptional written communication skills. Writing samples required. The ability to write clearly, concisely, quickly and effectively. Superior editing and proofreading skills and experience required. Highly PC literate, including Microsoft Office products and general online project management software (Wrike). Strong project management skills. Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills. Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities. Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies. WORK ENVIRONMENT When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.
