What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant (intermediate to advanced) position at Sedgefield Animal Hospital?
Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required (minimum 1 year).
Registered Veterinary Technicians are also encouraged to apply — pay will be adjusted fairly based on credentials and experience.

Schedule:
- 4 weekdays (7:45 AM – 6 PM, with a 30-minute lunch)
- 1 weekend animal care every other month (1-2 hours only)
- Light holiday rotation — no boarding or overnight shifts
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on Veterinary Assistant experience
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and stay active on your feet
- Comfortable walking dogs outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
