Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders at the front counter or cashier station
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit/debit card payments, and giving correct change
- Manage food service customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales and promote specials or new products effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food preparation areas, counters, and equipment sanitation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely when assisting with food preparation or handling food items
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations at all times
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting overall kitchen operations
- Support food handling procedures to uphold quality and safety standards in accordance with health regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred; retail or grocery store experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace and adhere to health regulations consistently
