Job title - Hardware Design Engineer
Location - San Jose, CA (Onsite)
Our client, a very well-known router and PC board manufacturing company is looking for Hardware Board Design Engineer.
Looking a Hardware Design Engineer with background in networking hardware.
Requirements:
- Development of at least 1 high speed digital board from concept to release
- Knowledge of 25G serdes operation
- Knowledge of leading edge microprocessor based reference design
- Having worked (design or debug) with high speed 10-25G optics
- Experience with high speed components (FPGA/ Phy/ Retimers/ PCIe Switch/ POL)
- Good lab hands-on skills, scope, analyzer, VNA
- Ability to set up hardware for debugging
- Knowledge of Perl/ Python/ other scripting languages with ability to write minimal set and run
- General knowledge of networking hardware/ familiarity with networking equipment lingo
Minimum Requirements:
- BSEE or BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering with 8 years of related experience or MSEE with 6 years of related experience
- Experience with High Speed Network Interfaces (10G/25G/100G/400G)
- Experience with high-speed SERDES (>=25G) system design, signal integrity issues, and power distribution techniques
- Experience with Network Switches and Routers
- Demonstrated experience working with ODMs and overseas multi-functional teams
- Ability to interface with other cross-functional teams, including CAD, FPGA, Power, Mechanical, Signal integrity and Manufacturing teams
- Hands on board design knowledge, familiar with design tools including Cadence Concept, and Allegro
- Experience with lab bring up and design validation
- Experience with board debug and Failure Analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
