Our School Security Officers serve as a visible presence on campus, helping prevent safety concerns before they escalate while promoting a positive educational environment.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure school campus environment
- Build positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and visitors
- Monitor school grounds, entrances, parking lots, and common areas
- Respond to alarm calls and be available as needed
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
- Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
- Assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation of tense situations
- Help enforce school policies in a professional and respectful manner
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
- Control access to school buildings and monitor visitor entry procedures
- Work closely with school administration and emergency responders when necessary
- Provide first aid or CPR when needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Experience working with youth, schools, customer service, or security is highly preferred
- Strong observation and decision-making abilities
- Ability to learn school safety procedures and emergency protocols
- Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and reporting software
- Integrity, professionalism, and reliability are essential
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a respectful school environment
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Washington State Guard Card (Preferred)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (Preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Security, school safety, customer service, or public-facing experience
- Experience working with students, youth programs, education, or community services
Shift Availability
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Some evening or event coverage may be available depending on school activities
