Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional TWIC-certified Unarmed Security Officer for an assignment at a port facility requiring Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) access.
This role focuses on access control, credential verification, and maintaining a secure environment in a high-visibility port setting.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a regulated access environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Unarmed access control at designated port entry points
Verifying TWIC credentials and authorized access
Monitoring and controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic
Maintaining a visible and professional security presence
Enforcing site security procedures and post orders
Monitoring activity and responding to incidents as needed
Completing accurate activity and incident reports
Coordinating with site leadership and responding agencies when required
Position Requirements:
Valid TWIC card (required)
Prior security, port, maritime, or access control experience preferred
Strong communication and situational awareness skills
Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
Ability to pass national and state background checks
Compensation:
Above national unarmed security average
Highly competitive hourly rate based on experience and credentials
