Position Summary:
Securityhunter, a leader in federal electronic security systems integration, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior/mid Project Cost Analyst to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for early-career professionals with a strong analytical foundation and an interest in project costing analysis. The selected candidate will support cost control, forecasting, and reporting efforts across high-visibility government contracts and work directly with the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and manage project costs, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with contract requirements.
- Generate and maintain cost reports, spend plans, and variance analyses for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Support the application of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to evaluate project performance and progress.
- Utilize Unanet for project accounting, reporting, and invoice tracking.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Finance to ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external project cost reviews and audits.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements in project cost planning and project controls.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (or 1-3 years with related education in Finance, Accounting, or Project Management).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with Unanet is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Earned Value theory is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project cost data analysis.
- Previous experience with Federal contracts preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Suitability
