Job Overview
Roessel Joy is partnering with a Security Provider in their search for a Director of Human Resources. The position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and implementing HR strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
Duties
- Bi-annual audit on I-9 documents.
- Review site specific requirements for compliance.
- Assist with new Account Manager training.
- Approve driving record checks.
- Approve credit checks.
- Review and update Security Office manual.
- Ensure all compliance requirements are attained.
- Review Leave of Absence Requests.
- Assist Recruiting Manager(s) with ways to implement employee retention.
- Manage Unemployment/Worker’s Compensation.
- Oversees and manages union grievances, FMLA requests; and CORI checks.
- Oversees OSHA compliance Manages and/or conducts internal investigations.
- Manages and/or conducts internal (employee) investigations of allegations of misconduct.
- Determines and imposes employee discipline in accordance with NESI policy and practice.
- Develops strong working relationships with other executives, management, staff, and provides advice, guidance, and coaching as needed.
- Ensures Recruiting maintains staffing goals each week.
- Attends weekly Executive Committee Meetings and presents Recruiting metrics as well as other measurables.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree required.
- Comfortable in a high volume and fast-paced environment. - HR experience in service industry preferred. -Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience at management level in security or employment placement industry or similar preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
