Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Screener to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and secure environment at our facility, with a focus on passenger safety, security protocols, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a background or interest in aviation, security, or customer service, and possess strong conflict management skills. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety and professionalism are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, luggage, and cargo in accordance with established protocols
• Operate screening equipment such as metal detectors, X-ray machines, and other security tools effectively
• Monitor surveillance systems and perform regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security threats
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local security policies
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting travelers with questions or concerns while maintaining security standards
• Manage conflict situations calmly and professionally, de-escalating issues as needed
• Document security incidents accurately and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Experience

• Prior experience in aviation security, customer service, or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
• Strong understanding of security procedures and protocols is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle stressful situations effectively
• Experience in conflict management and de-escalation techniques is highly desirable
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed

This role is essential for ensuring the safety of all travelers and staff while providing a positive experience through professional conduct and attentive service.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.25 per hour
