What you'll do

- Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Design customized security solutions tailored to client specifications and requirements.
- Utilize computer networking skills to integrate alarm systems with remote access software for enhanced monitoring.
- Collaborate with clients to provide training on system operation and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes such as the National Electrical Code (NEC), and best practices in security technology.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in field service as a technician, particularly in alarm system installation and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and cabling practices.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with computer hardware related to security systems.
- Knowledge of locksmithing principles for securing premises effectively.
- Background in construction or telecommunications that supports system design capabilities.
- Understanding of alarm system sales principles to assist clients in making informed decisions.
