Local transport company looking to hire a dependable and hard-working truck driver to make deliveries throughout Southwest Virginia. Full time availability. Must be able to start work early and work until afternoon/evening, but guaranteed home every night. Monday-Friday schedules with weekly pay. Health insurance and Dental insurance offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 26-foot box truck, with a lift-gate, safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and secure transport.
- Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining time management.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions.
- Calling in proof of deliveries, entering in proof of deliveries
- Ensuring paperwork is completely accurate and filled out.
- Dependability is a MUST.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Minimum of 1 years experience driving a 26-foot box truck.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- No violent felonies or sex offender status; a background check will be required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and various heavy items with a dolly and perform manual tasks efficiently
