Position Overview:
The Security Title Guarantee Corporation is seeking an individual with a strong sales background to expand our agency network and grow our footprint through strategic agency relationships.
For non-attorneys, this role’s focus will be on identifying, onboarding, and supporting independent title agents to represent the company. However, the ideal candidate will be an attorney with at least 5 years of underwriting experience with the role blending underwriting authority with business development responsibilities.
Position pays commission on business generated in addition to base salary
Key Responsibilities :
Agency Development & Sales
· Identify, recruit, and onboard qualified title agencies to represent the company
· Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow agency market share
· Build and maintain strong relationships with agency principals and key stakeholders
· Present company value proposition and service advantages
· Drive premium growth through new agency appointments and production increases
Training & Support
· Deliver training to agents on procedures and best practices
· Serve as a primary point of contact for agent inquiries and support needs
· Partner with internal teams (claims, operations, legal) to support agency success
Underwriting & Risk Management Responsibilities for Attorney Candidates
· Review and approve title insurance risks within underwriting authority
· Assist in the development of and provide training on underwriting guidelines
· Provide guidance and support to agents on complex title issues
· Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
· Assist in resolving title defects, claims issues, and risk exposures
Qualifications:
Required
· Strong knowledge of title insurance practices, policies, and regulatory requirements
· Proven experience in business development, sales, or agency recruitment
· Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Preferred
· Existing network of title agents in Maryland
· Experience with national/independent underwriter platforms
· Demonstrated track record of growing agency revenue or territory
· 5 years of experience in title insurance underwriting and/or agency management

Pay: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
