Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Armed Security Guard to join our team in Anchorage, AK. The Armed Security Guard will be responsible for safeguarding property, personnel, and visitors, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to incidents. Daily duties include conducting security checks, managing access control, resolving security breaches professionally, and preparing detailed incident reports. This is an on-site role and requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proficient in security procedures, threat assessment, and emergency response protocols
- Skilled in monitoring, surveillance, and handling security equipment
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and exercise good judgment in high-stress situations
- Experience with report writing and maintaining accurate, detailed records
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet the requirements for carrying a firearm
- Completion of a certified security or law enforcement training program is preferred
- Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or private security is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications in security or law enforcement is advantageous
