Duties
- Lead and supervise electrical installation teams on commercial construction and renovation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise electrical layouts and wiring diagrams
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment such as ohmmeters
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local electrical codes during all phases of installation and maintenance
- Effectively work with contractors, other tradespeople, project managers, and supervisory staff to ensure project deadlines and completion
- Mentor junior electricians and apprentices, fostering a culture of safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing construction site teams or electrical crews on large-scale projects
- Extensive hands-on experience with construction site safety procedures, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, handyman skills, and general construction practices
- Proficiency with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, NEC regulations, schematics reading, and the use of testing tools such as ohmmeters
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites while maintaining safety standards; experience with power tools, hand tools, and power equipment is essential
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
