Regulatory & Risk Management Officer
SECURITY NATIONAL TRUST COMPANY has a career opportunity in the role of a Regulatory & Risk Management Officer. Anticipated duties would include implementation and oversight of regulatory matters relating to the company’s
BSA/AML/OFAC program and suspicious activity monitoring. The role would lead, support and train the team in compliance with company policies, procedures, and assist in preparation for audits and account reconcilements. The successful candidate would have solid communication, organization and leadership skills. Prior compliance, banking, paralegal, or trust administration experience is a plus along with robust Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Salary commensurate with experience and skill level, complete benefits package available including 401(k) and profit sharing. All responses are treated confidentiality. Competencies required for this role include the following:
Effective Communications – Ability to effectively communicate – both spoken and written, key concepts and investment ideas in a manner that allows for client comprehension.
Problem Solving – Knowledge of approaches and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge in diverse circumstances.
Customer Service – Serves internal and external client needs.
Knowledge – Applies understanding of national banking regulations, the Bank
Secrecy Act (BSA), US Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of
Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) to procedures and transactions.
Minimum Basic Skills—Proficient in Microsoft Office produces, especially Word and Excel. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require four or more years of financial audit, banking/investments/trust, or other related compliance experience.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a major in a relevant subject such as finance, accounting, economics, or business. MBA / MS is recommended. CFIRS designation ideal.
