Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced full-time accounts payable clerk for our office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The successful candidate will also have a great work ethic and an understanding of accounting processes. 

This is a full-time office position, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:45 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing and posting

Skills/Qualifications

• Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• 10-key by touch and type at least 55 wpm
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
• Proficiency in MS Excel and in MS Office
• Strong communication skills in English
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience with GP Dynamics a plus
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work individually and as a team member
• Ability to demonstrate honesty and maintain confidentiality

Experience:

Associates degree in accounting or related field a plus or two years previous financial experience
