Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable a team of Family Service Advisors to achieve established preneed revenue goals
- Monitor daily and weekly sales activity, including appointments set/held, presentations, and contracts written
- Provide ongoing coaching through one-on-ones, field observation, and performance feedback
- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members, ensuring timely licensing and development
- Enforce adherence to company sales processes, ethical standards, and compliance requirements
- Oversee lead distribution and ensure timely, consistent follow-up on all inquiries and prospects
- Drive community outreach efforts, including seminars, events, and partnership development to generate leads
- Support and assist in closing preneed and at-need sales, particularly in complex or high-value situations
- Partner with funeral home and cemetery operations staff to ensure coordinated service and maximize at-need opportunities
- Review and approve contracts for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure proper use of and accurate CRM data, sales tracking, and required reporting
- Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Participate directly in sales activities as needed to support overall location performance
Work Experience Requirements:
Required
- 3–5 years of sales experience with consistent quota achievement
- 2 years of direct team leadership and performance management
- Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and forecast accurately
- Strong coaching, accountability, and communication skills
- Preneed, cemetery, funeral, real estate, or insurance sales experience
- Active California Life Insurance License (or ability to obtain)
- Experience managing commission-based sales teams
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk, while working on a computer
