Role Summary
The Divisional Manager, Major Projects Division (MPD) provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial accountability for the company’s largest multi-site security accounts nationwide. This role ensures consistent service delivery, regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, and profitability while leading Project Managers and site leadership across geographically dispersed locations. The Divisional Manager drives operational excellence, supports organizational goals, and strengthens long-term client partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid or obtainable Security License
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
- Ability to travel nationwide on short notice (1–2 weeks at a time)
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all MPD operations
- Lead, develop, and manage Project Managers and site leadership
- Execute division-wide operational and growth strategies
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions to protect profitability
- Partner with executive leadership to align divisional performance with company objectives
- Own divisional P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin management
- Support pricing strategies, financial modeling, and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, licensing, regulatory, and contractual requirements
- Administer guard management systems, post orders, and site documentation
- Enforce safety, training, licensing, and compliance standards
- Serve as senior escalation point for major clients
- Conduct site inspections and review incidents, investigations, and corrective actions
Leadership & Performance Oversight
- Oversee onboarding, training, performance reviews, coaching, and corrective actions
- Manage employee relations matters in partnership with HR
- Ensure client KPIs and contractual obligations are met or exceeded
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Monitor overtime, workforce utilization, reporting compliance, and service quality
- Standardize best practices for scalable operations
Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Sound judgment and emotional intelligence in high-pressure situations
- Effective multitasking, project management, and decision-making
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and guard management systems
- Flexibility to support 24/7 operations
Education & Experience
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years multi-site management experience
- 3–5 years security supervisory experience
- Experience managing 4–6 supervisors or managers
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Military or law enforcement experience
- Proven success managing complex, multi-site client portfolios
- Strong financial and client relationship management skills
- Experience launching multiple sites simultaneously
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Walk up to ½ mile and climb stairs as required
- Manual dexterity to operate computers and office equipment
