About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Manager to lead and grow our fire alarm division. This individual will be responsible for driving service and sales operations, managing customer relationships, and overseeing a team of technicians. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background in fire alarm systems combined with proven sales and service management experience.


Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to grow fire alarm service revenue and expand the customer base. Manage day-to-day service operations including scheduling inspections, service calls, and system installations. Build and maintain relationships with building owners, property managers, general contractors, and facilities teams. Prepare proposals, estimates, and bids for fire alarm inspection and service contracts. Recruit, train, and manage a team of fire alarm technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the engineering and design teams on system layouts and equipment selection. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 72, local AHJ requirements, and applicable building codes. Track service agreements, renewals, and warranty obligations. Monitor job costs, margins, and departmental P&L performance. Serve as a technical resource for complex troubleshooting and system design questions.


Qualifications

NICET Level II certification in Fire Alarm Systems required; NICET Level III or IV is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm sales, service, or project management. Demonstrated track record of managing service teams and meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, FBC/IBC, and relevant local fire codes. Experience with common fire alarm platforms (e.g., Notifier, EST/Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight). Familiarity with fire alarm inspection, testing, and maintenance procedures per NFPA 72 Chapter 14. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with estimating, CRM, and service management software. Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check plus drug screen.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing inspection and monitoring contract portfolios. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Familiarity with integrated life safety systems including mass notification, fire suppression, and access control.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
