Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Portfolio Manager to help oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts. In this role, you will support the sales team, foster strong client relationships, monitor portfolio risk, and ensure account files are accurately maintained and aligned with the company’s financial objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical abilities, solid financial knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Prior experience in commercial lending is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Oversight: Assist in managing a portfolio of commercial loans and real estate assets, ensuring performance aligns with risk standards and portfolio goals.
- Client Relationship Management: Partner closely with the Commercial Loan Officer to provide seamless client service, handling renewals, assisting with loan closings, financial updates, amendments, and follow-ups.
- Credit Analysis & Review: Analyze financial statements and assess credit risk for existing clients; assist in preparing credit memos, risk rating updates, and annual reviews.
- Loan Servicing Support: Coordinate collection and tracking of financial covenants, tickler items, and other ongoing documentation requirements. Assist in preparing preliminary loan documents and ensure accurate booking of closed loans.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain adherence to internal credit policy and regulatory guidelines, supporting documentation and audit-readiness across the portfolio.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside credit, underwriting, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of client transactions and portfolio maintenance.
- Client Engagement: Join client meetings and calls as needed to stay informed on their business needs and help deliver a consistent, high-touch relationship experience.
