What You'll Do
As a Retail Security Officer, you will play an important role in helping maintain a safe and welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff by:
- Maintaining a visible security presence throughout your assigned area
- Monitoring customer and employee activity to help prevent theft and policy violations
- Observing and reporting suspicious behavior or security concerns
- Providing exceptional customer service and assisting visitors when needed
- Responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Completing accurate activity and incident reports
- Supporting store management by enforcing site policies and procedures
- Helping create a safe and positive environment for customers and employees
Qualifications
- Valid NYS Security Guard License preferred
- Previous security, retail, customer service, or related experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Strong observation and reporting skills
