Security Officer – Healthcare Setting
Location: New Milford, CT
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Friday–Tuesday, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM (overnights)
Days Off: Wednesday & Thursday
About the Role
We’re looking for a professional Security Officer to work in a healthcare environment in New Milford. In this role, you’ll help protect patients, staff, visitors, and property, while supporting a calm and safe atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, and overall facility activity
- Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance
- Complete clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports
- Enforce site policies and procedures in a fair and respectful manner
- Work closely with healthcare staff and follow site-specific protocols
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening (per company policy)
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies
- Reliable transportation to and from the site
- Prior security, military, law enforcement, or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
