Global Operations Security Center Manager – Full Time – Plano, TX
Reports To: Regional Director of Security Operations
Salary: $75,000-$95,000/YR
In-Office: Mon - Fri: 8AM - 5PM
Summary:
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager is responsible for the leadership, build-out, and daily operations of numerous 24/7 Global Security Operations Centers. This role requires a hands-on security leader with proven experience establishing a GSOC or SOC from the ground up, managing teams, and maintaining real-time operational oversight.
The GSOC Manager will be physically present at one of the GSOC locations, providing oversight, incident command, and executive-level coordination during routine operations and critical events.

Key Responsibilities:
GSOC Design, Build-Out, & Onsite Readiness
- Lead, design and implement GSOC from concept to full operational capability.
- Define GSOC mission, scope, governance, KPIs, and service catalogue.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for data center locations, escalation matrices, runbooks, and crisis playbooks.
- Select, implement, and oversee onsite GSOC technologies, Including:
- CCTV/VMS and alarm monitoring systems.
- Access control platforms.
- Incident and case management tools.
- Threat intelligence and situational awareness platforms.
Onsite Operations & Incident Command
- Maintain and oversee daily command and control of 24/7 GSOC operations.
- Serve as Incident Commander during critical incidents, emergencies, and crises.
- Provide real-time escalation, decision-making, and executive notifications.
- During critical incidents, coordinate with onsite management and offsite response with security teams, facilities, IT, HR, Legal, and emergency services.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and after-action reviews.
Onsite Leadership & Workforce Management
- Train and manage GSOC analysts, supervisors, and shift leads.
- Establish shift schedules, staffing models, and coverage plans for data center locations.
- Conduct in-person coaching, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
- Build and sustain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Risk, Intelligence, & Compliance
- Monitor and assess real-time global and regional threats impacting operations.
- Produce intelligence briefings, daily situation reports (SITREPs), and executive dashboards to onsite management.
- Ensure GSOC operation centers comply with corporate policies, client requirements, and applicable standards (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC, etc.).
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews of GSOC operation centers.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, documentation workflows, and data accuracy.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing timely and reliable information.
- Assist with standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to finance and information management.
Executive & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the GSOC authority for senior leadership, clients, and visiting stakeholders.
- Deliver in-person briefings during incidents and routine operational updates.
- Support executive protection, travel risk monitoring, and major event security as required.

Position Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older.
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Standard computer / technology skills needed.

Qualifications:
Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a GSOC or SOC in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience building a GSOC or SOC from the ground up, including:
- Physical GSOC facility design and setup.
- Technology selection, installation, and integration.
- SOP, playbook, and governance development.
- Strong working knowledge of physical security systems, incident management, and crisis response.
- Proven experience leading onsite teams in high availability environments.
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and respond onsite during emergencies.
- Knowledge and experience of Milestone Systems and LenelS2.
Preferred
Certifications such as LenelS2 Administrator, CPP, PSP, PCI, FEMA ICS (100/200/300/400), ISO 27001, or NIST-related credentials.
Experience supporting critical infrastructure, data centers, or global enterprises.
Military, law enforcement, or intelligence background a plus.
