Full Time Security Officer
Location: Danvers, MA
Schedule: Friday-Tuesday, 3pm-11pm
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Securitas Security Services is seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our retail location. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible presence, deter theft and misconduct, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while enforcing store policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the retail premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems
- Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activities
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
- Enforce store policies and safety procedures
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors as needed
- Write accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Coordinate with store management and local law enforcement when necessary
- Conduct bag checks or access control procedures (as required by site policy)
- Ensure emergency exits and safety equipment are accessible and functional
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Prior security or retail experience preferred
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Basic knowledge of security systems (CCTV, alarms, etc.)
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
