Our FLEX Security Officer positions play a key role in upholding these values by providing coverage and support where it’s needed most. We are currently hiring for a FLEX Security Officer opportunity supporting a corporate client with multiple facilities located in Franklin and Hopkinton, MA.

This role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment across both locations, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, enforcing post procedures, and representing Securitas with professionalism, vigilance, and integrity.

Current Opening:

• Location: Franklin, MA & Hopkinton, MA

• Schedule: Full-Time, Open Availability — FLEX Officers provide coverage for vacations, call-outs, and open shifts across multiple posts.

  •  Must be available for all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), including weekends and holidays as needed.

• Pay Rate: $21.00/hourly

This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy variety and want to gain experience across multiple security environments with flexible availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adaptability: Provide flexible coverage across two client facilities, maintaining familiarity with each site’s layout, post orders, and expectations. Cover various shifts and assignments as needed while ensuring consistent quality and professionalism.

• Patrol and Monitoring: Regularly patrol the facilities to ensure the safety of all employees, visitors, and property. Monitor security cameras and alarms for any suspicious activity. Some posts may involve gate duties or vehicle patrols.

• Access Control: Manage and monitor access points to ensure only authorized personnel enter the building. Check identification badges and maintain accurate visitor logs.

• Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms. Assist in resolving security-related issues and report findings to management.

• Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations. Prepare and submit reports as required.

• Emergency Procedures: Follow all emergency procedures for evacuations, medical emergencies, and other critical situations. Work closely with local authorities when necessary.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all security-related policies, procedures, and regulations. Conduct regular security checks to identify potential risks or hazards.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, site staff, and fellow security officers to ensure a coordinated approach to safety and security across both sites.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and observational skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
• Certifications: Security guard certifications or related training is a plus.
  • Clean driving record will be required. 
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, patrol the facility, and respond to emergencies.
