Part-Time Security Officer - Copiague, NY - $18.50/hr.

About The Position

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at a public-facing facility in Copiague, NY. This part-time opportunity is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while providing excellent customer service.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting both standing and patrol duties, monitoring facility activity, and assisting with maintaining a secure atmosphere for visitors, staff, and property.

Location: Copiague, NY

Position Type: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Schedule

• Friday: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  
  

Applicants must be dependable and willing to commute to the Copiague area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols
• Monitor visitor activity and report any unusual incidents or concerns
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and patrons
• Enforce site policies and procedures
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and security-related situations
• Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Prior security experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the Copiague area
• Ability to work independently and remain attentive throughout the shift
