Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

The Lead Officer maintains the security and safety of the client site by supporting and providing their Security Officers clear guidance and leadership. Your Role
Your primary responsibility is to provide a visible, professional deterrent to crime. You support Store Management and Asset Protection (AP) through observation, presence, and reporting — not enforcement.
Schedule: Thursday - Monday, 12pm-8pm

Uniform Requirements
No weapons or restraints are permitted on Shaw’s / Star Market property, including:
✅ Observe and report suspicious activity
✅ Provide backup support when requested by Management or AP
✅ Assist when Management or AP asks individuals to leave the premises
✅ Complete written incident reports per agency procedures

- Primary Post: Front entrance/exit
- Secondary Duties: Periodic interior and exterior patrols
- Follow direction from Store Management or Asset Protection

Uniform Requirements
- Full agency‑issued uniform at all times, with visible identification and insignia
- Inclement weather outerwear must match uniform and display insignia
No weapons or restraints are permitted on Shaw’s / Star Market property, including:
- Firearms, tasers, stun guns
- Batons, nightsticks, impact weapons
- Pepper spray, mace, or chemical agents
- Handcuffs or restraints of any kind
✅ Observe and report suspicious activity
✅ Provide backup support when requested by Management or AP
✅ Assist when Management or AP asks individuals to leave the premises
✅ Complete written incident reports per agency procedures
What You MUST NOT Do
- Approach or question shoplifters or suspected shoplifters
- Detain, chase, block, or touch any individual
- Use physical force under any circumstances
- Personal and public safety are the top priorities
- Never risk injury to recover merchandise
- If a situation escalates: disengage immediately, contact Store Management, AP, or law enforcement as directed
