Experienced Security Officer – Banking Institution – Hempstead, NY

Pay Rate: $29.50/Hr.

Schedule: Full-Time | Friday: 8:00AM to 7:00PM | Saturday: 8:00AM to 3:00PM | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00AM to 6:00PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Security Officer to support operations at a banking institution in Hempstead, NY. This role is ideal for individuals with prior law enforcement experience who are looking to continue their careers in a security-focused environment. The selected candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for clients, employees, and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a strong visible security presence within the banking facility
• Monitor premises through patrols and surveillance systems
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
• Enforce site-specific policies and procedures
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports
• De-escalate conflicts using professionalism and sound judgment
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement experience required (police, corrections, or similar)
• Valid NYS Security Guard License (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• High level of integrity, accountability, and situational awareness
• Customer service-oriented mindset
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Military experience (honorable discharge)
• Prior experience in banking or corporate security environments
• CPR/AED certification preferred
