Job Summary
The Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) is responsible for monitoring personnel and equipment to ensure no unauthorized devices are installed during construction.This includes cleared and un-cleared individuals, and ensuring compliance with Intelligence Community Directive 705 (ICD 705) standards.
Core Duties
- Monitor and interact with construction workers to prevent the introduction of hostile surveillance devices.
- Screen all equipment and materials using X-ray machines and other methods.
- Operate inspection equipment.
- Analyze designs and blueprints to recognize intended use and potential ulterior purposes.
- Exercise knowledge of ICD 705 standards, TSCM, and device types used by hostile intelligence services.
- Write detailed reports and maintain daily logs.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship preferred.
- Top Secret clearance required.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years of experience as a CST on U.S. Government projects.
- Completion of a U.S. Government-approved CST training course.
Working Conditions
Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public under pressure situations.
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking up to 12 hours per day.
Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
