Sr. Front-End Engineer / APIS

Job Summary: Securiport LLC is a US company based in Reston, VA, specializing in designing and implementing passenger biometric recognition, immigration processing, and intelligent information reporting and management systems based on advanced technological solutions.  Securiport provides a complete immigration processing solution and analytics to maintain border security. Services include technical analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of Securiport’s software solutions, training, and technical support to the field operations.

 
You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of modern, responsive user interfaces for applications focused on threat detection, screening, and analysis. You will work closely with backend engineers, UX designers, and product stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance front-end solutions. Our systems leverage modern web frameworks such as React, Blazor and Flutter, and integrate with microservices-based backends primarily built in C# and SQL Server. This role is ideal for an experienced front-end engineer who enjoys owning UI architecture, driving best practices, and mentoring other developers.
You will collaborate with senior developers, DevOps engineers, and data experts in an Agile team environment, contributing to an enterprise-grade software ecosystem that prioritizes usability, performance, and security.

 
Essential Functions

• Lead the full lifecycle of front-end software development, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and delivery.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable front-end architectures using Blazor, React, or Flutter.
• Experience consuming and integrating gRPC and RESTful APIs, including authentication, error handling, and performance considerations.
• Extensive hands-on experience with DevExpress for Blazor and ASP.NET, including advanced usage of DevExpress data grids, dashboards, and reporting components, along with performance optimization techniques for data‑intensive applications.
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and UX teams to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality.
• Establish and promote front-end best practices, coding standards, and reusable components.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical planning and estimation.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, and usability standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Extensive experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Flutter, and/or Blazor).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling frameworks.
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).
• Understanding responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated understanding of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL).

Preferred / Plus Skills

• Experience with .NET / C# and working closely with backend services.
• Familiarity with microservices-based architectures.
• Experience with Docker and containerized front-end deployments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Experience with Kafka or real-time data-driven UIs.
• Familiarity with state management patterns and libraries.
• Experience using Azure DevOps/Git for source control and collaboration.
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles and collaboration with design systems.
• Experience building dashboards, analytics, or data-intensive applications.

Required Education, Certifications / Licenses, Related Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
• 8 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on front-end development.
• In lieu of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience will meet education requirements.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating complex front-end applications is highly desirable.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.

Physical Job Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) for extended periods.
• Ability to spend prolonged time viewing computer monitors.
