Securing Communities is seeking experienced Venue Security Officers to join our Entertainment & Nightlife Division. Our officers protect some of the region's busiest bars, lounges, nightclubs, and entertainment venues, where professionalism, confidence, and sound decision-making are essential.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for security professionals with proven experience working in high-volume environments who understand how to maintain a safe atmosphere through visibility, communication, and decisive action.

Position Summary
Venue Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests, employees, performers, and venue management. Officers serve as the first line of defense by proactively identifying potential issues, enforcing venue policies, and resolving incidents with professionalism and respect.
Successful officers know that the best security professionals prevent problems before they occur through situational awareness, strong communication, and effective de-escalation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a highly visible security presence throughout assigned venues.
- Control access points and verify guest identification.
- Conduct bag inspections and security screenings when required.
- Monitor guest behavior and identify potential safety concerns.
- Enforce venue policies, occupancy limits, and alcohol-related regulations.
- Patrol dance floors, VIP sections, entrances, exits, patios, and parking areas.
- Respond immediately to disturbances, fights, medical emergencies, and suspicious activity.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts professionally.
- Assist in the safe escort or removal of disruptive patrons when necessary.
- Coordinate with venue management, local law enforcement, and emergency responders during critical incidents.
- Complete accurate incident reports before the conclusion of each shift.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining authority and professionalism.
- Protect company and client property from theft, vandalism, or damage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional security experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night shifts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

Physical Requirements
This position requires officers who are physically capable of performing the essential duties of the role, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods (6–10 hours)
- Working in crowded, fast-paced environments
- Quickly responding to incidents throughout the venue
- Safely performing escort and removal procedures when necessary
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Maintaining a confident, professional presence throughout the shift
