Computer Network Architect SME - Columbia, MD (TS/SCI CI Poly)

What You'll Be Doing: 

• Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. 

• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.  

• May also design network and computer security measures as well as research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. 

• Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process. 

• Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation. 

• Interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. 

• Oversee the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. 

• Work with other program personnel such as engineers, developers, and testers, as well as communicate with Government and other mission partners. 

• Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. 

• Analyze complex information and independently take appropriate actions to resolve problems. 

• Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establishes effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners. 

• Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers. 

• Work complex research projects as senior contributors and as part of an integrated research team. 

• Design and deliver solutions. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

• Minimum 10 years of experience with cybersecurity or information assurance. 

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Systems Engineering or related discipline 

• Active CISSP, CASP CE, CSSLP certification (minimum DoD8570 IASAE Level II certification) 

• Must know Risk Management Framework (RMF) 

• Active TS/SCI Polygraph 

Preferred/Desired Skills: 

• Exposure to Cloud/AWS 

• Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) 

• Able to build systems from the ground up- network architecture/systems engineering
