Sheet Metal Worker (SM2) – Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable SM2 Sheet Metal Worker to join our team for commercial HVAC and sheet metal installation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience fabricating, assembling, and installing ductwork and HVAC systems in commercial or industrial settings while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, fabricate, modify, and repair sheet metal duct systems for HVAC applications
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal using hand and power tools
- Install ductwork, dampers, hangers, exhaust systems, and ventilation components
- Perform field layout and coordinate installations with other trades
- Operate equipment such as shears, brakes, rollers, crimpers, and welding tools
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and project requirements
- Assist with troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of existing HVAC duct systems
- Maintain clean and organized work areas on construction sites
