Service Technician (D2 Licensed)

New Haven Area, CT

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician with a valid Connecticut D2 HVAC License to join our growing team in the New Haven area. This position is ideal for a technician who takes pride in troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining commercial and light commercial HVAC systems while providing excellent customer service. A Connecticut D2 license allows technicians to install, service, maintain, and repair warm air, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems (excluding oil burner service).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Inspect equipment, identify issues, and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
• Install or replace HVAC equipment and components as needed.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and other required documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding system performance and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and follow all company safety procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut D2 HVAC License (required).
• 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
