The Secure Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (STARC) has FT and PT time job opportunities for forensic Direct Care Staff/SCTAs on evening and night shifts.
Join a dedicated team of professionals committed to promoting positive change, reducing risk, and safeguarding communities against the impact of sexual abuse. STARC residents participate in the intensive care and treatment needed to become better prepared to live offense-free in the community upon release by the Courts.
Direct Care Staff/SCTAs are part of a team dedicated to providing care and creating a safe, secure, and stable environment for residents to reach their treatment goals including:
- Supervision of resident activity to maintain safety and security
- Encouraging healthy routines and engagement in treatment
- Modeling prosocial behavior and promoting behavioral change
- Monitoring behavioral plans and treatment goals
- Observing and documenting progress toward treatment goals
- Providing therapeutic de-escalation, conflict mediation, and crisis management as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School or High School equivalency diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Direct Care Experience
- Associate’s degree or higher
License Requirement: Depending on assignment, you may be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter.
