The Opportunity
Secure Asset Management, LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor, is seeking an accomplished Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead our investment management and trading functions and help shape the next phase of growth for our firm.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced investment professional who combines deep investment expertise with strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate sophisticated investment concepts clearly and confidently.
The CIO will have significant responsibility and autonomy in shaping the firm's investment philosophy, portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and investment research processes. This individual will lead and develop our investment and trading professionals while partnering closely with executive leadership and advisors to deliver sophisticated investment solutions for our clients.
The CIO will also serve as a visible investment leader for the organization, communicating our investment philosophy, strategies, and market perspective to advisors, clients, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the firm's overall investment management function.
- Lead the development and implementation of the firm's investment philosophy, asset allocation framework, portfolio construction process, and risk management strategies.
- Oversee investment portfolios and models to ensure alignment with established objectives, risk parameters, client needs, and fiduciary standards.
- Evaluate portfolio performance, financial markets, economic trends, and investment opportunities and recommend appropriate strategic or tactical adjustments.
- Lead the firm's investment research and due diligence processes across asset classes, investment strategies, individual securities, funds, ETFs, and third-party investment managers.
- Chair or play a leadership role within the firm's Investment Committee and help establish disciplined, consistent, and repeatable investment decision-making processes.
- Provide leadership and oversight to the investment and trading teams, including mentoring, professional development, performance management, and recruiting as the firm continues to grow.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance investment, portfolio management, and trading processes to improve efficiency, consistency, scalability, and risk controls.
- Partner with financial advisors to develop sophisticated investment strategies for high-net-worth clients with varying objectives and financial circumstances.
- Serve as a trusted investment resource to advisors, helping strengthen investment knowledge and confidence throughout the organization.
- Develop and deliver market commentary, investment updates, presentations, and thought leadership for advisors, employees, and clients.
- Represent the firm's investment philosophy and market perspective in client meetings, advisor meetings, educational events, and other presentations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives designed to support the firm's continued growth and evolution.
Qualifications
Required
- CFA designation.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of investment management experience, including substantial experience in portfolio construction and asset allocation.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated success leading an investment, portfolio management, or trading team.
- Deep understanding of fiduciary investment principles, portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment research, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating multiple asset classes, investment strategies, securities, funds, and investment managers.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and portfolio risk.
- Experience with institutional-quality investment research, analytics, trading, and portfolio management systems.
- Proven ability to build, develop, and mentor high-performing investment professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable investment processes and contribute effectively as a member of an executive leadership team.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain sophisticated investment concepts in a clear and understandable manner to advisors, employees, and clients.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment.
Preferred
- Experience within an RIA, wealth management firm, asset manager, or similar investment organization serving high-net-worth clients and financial advisors.
- Experience working closely with financial advisors and serving as a senior investment resource in advisor and client-facing environments.
- Advanced degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline.

Compensation & Benefits
Annual Compensation: $250,000–$450,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Pay: $250,000.00 - $450,000.00 per year
